In late 2019, we began the expansion of our business by moving into a larger facility in Maple Grove. Ten times larger, in fact. The business was growing just the way we envisioned from the very beginning. At MIS, we believe that we are only successful when our clients succeed. To meet the growing demand of our clients, we made the decision to move to a 25,000 sqaure foot facility. We began performing the necessary upgrades to transform our new space to a leading medical device production facility. No one could foresee, and nothing could prepare us for, what was to come—what is now referred to as: COVID.
We all felt the impact from the pandemic in 2020. Businesses closed, masks were mandated, and we were told to stay home and wait it out. As an essential business, we carefully navigated through the fog and continued to build the infrastructure while operating the business safely. We forged ahead, staying true to the vision that we created four years earlier. We grew a team that shared our vision and placed their trust in us as we reassured them there is indeed a light at the end of this tunnel.
We are now well beyond that tunnel, and we’re truly thriving. We've shown that no matter the obstacle in front of us, we have what it takes to overcome it. We've solidified our position as a leading catheter development and manufacturing partner, and as a symbol we proudly display our new building sign for all to see.
